My Brazilian rosewood bonsai got sunburned, and has lost 80 percent of
it leavs.
What can I do to save it?

OK, if I recall you left it out in the cold. So its probably
not "sunburn" but frost damage.
I don't know anything about growing that plant. But if you keep it
happy in the proper conditions it will likely get better. Or its
dead.

All woody plant like the rosewood you have need the soil to keep moist. If =
you exposed to
full sun from a shady position, adjustment could have taken place and need =
to shed leaves like
any plant move from different exposure. The only test is scrape a portion o=
f the branch to cadmium
level; if it is green then just trim those dried tips and remove all leaves=
for easy recovery. If not,
then its dead. Taking care of bonsai needs more attention since it uses les=
s soil and small container.
You can get a Sunset magazine on Bonsai for better tips and maintenance and=
even making one.
Bonsai in small scale needs semi-shade and not full sun since it dries up t=
he soil more quickly
unless you have sufficient moss cover.

Take your thumb nail and scratch a little piece of the bark (not totally of=
f
but pulled back) and see if it is still green underneath...if it is the tre=
e
is alive if not then go a little lower and see if you see green.
No green means the tree is dead and if there is green then you need to take
care of it and maybe baby it a bit,,,keep it warm and lots of light!
