Do you all ever have issues with the roots of plants not being able to
get through the pellet type pots?

I have only ever used traditional peat pots filled with potting soil and
never had a problem. For no logical reason that I can explain pellet
pots those things that expand when you add water just make me nervous
but I do wonder what others experience have been.

My experience with those little peat things that expand when water is
added - sheer AMUSEMENT!
They were fun to experiment with, and to amuse the grandchildren. They
loved watching the pots expand when wet. Jeremy asked if they would leap
out of the tray!

The little pots were okay to use for one seed, but impractical for large
scale use.

Lou,
The way I use all peat pots is to plant two seeds in each pot
regardless of the size of the peat pot. In one germanates great. If two
germanate I either pull or transplant the smaller of the two. Just my
crazy way of doing things.

Lou,
That is exactly why I love this list so much. Because of the
amount of mail I get I have had to cut back on some of my email lists
but never this one. I ordered more amaryllis today from amaryllis.com
