If your =93Christmas=94 cactus blooms before Thanksgiving, it=92s probably =
a
=93Thanksgiving=94 cactus. I know of three =93holiday=94 caci; they bloom a=
round
Thanksgiving and Christmas. The other =93holiday=94 cactus, called Easter
cactus, blooms (naturally) around Easter. It=92s blossoms are entirely
different from the Thanksgiving and Christmas cacti blooms we enjoy. A
Google search will give you information on these varieties.
My Thanksgiving cacti are still in bloom, although there are fewer flowers
now than over the holiday.

Subject: [Houseplants] Christmas cactus
I must be doing someting wrong.
The Christmas cactus picture which I posted several days ago finally
appeared, but the note I wrote with it didn't show. My "christmas"
cactus always blooms before Thanksgivng. It was white when I got it
but has gradually turned pink. It stays outside since I live in
California so I don't think it gets too warm in the winter. Perhaps I
should bring it inside during the summer? Vera Diehl
