does pot colour matter?

With all the chat about where to find pots etc, I was wondering if the
colour makes a significant difference? Would dark ones heat up too
much and possibly damage the root system?

Thanks for your thoughts and experiences on this!

Well it is true that dark colored pots like black and brown will
absorb more heat then light colors like white and yellow but I have
never seen a case of that being the reson for a plant dieing.

it may incress the heat of the pot by a degree or 2 but not enoughf
to harm the plant, if they are having troubble with being too hot=20
it is weather or area they are in not the color of the pot.

Pot color is mainly for looks and to make your pots stand out or
blend into the area they are in better.
