Anyhoo, the little booklet that came with the kit is somewhat vague at this
point. Could one of you knowledgeable folk go have a look at the pictures on
the blog and let me know what, if anything, I should do next? Or for now, is
it just "let it grow" time? Is that little pot that it's in good enough?
Also, I'm vague on feeding... what should I feed it and how often?
Thanks in advance for all your help folks... I really appreciate it! I must
admit watching this thing just spout and grow an inch in the last week and a
half has been SO COOL!

OK, give the seedling as much natural light as possible. (Your seedling is
already "leggy" and showing signs of reaching for the light.) Keep above
freezing and don't over water.
Those are not branches, but needles. (which in Pines take the place of
leaves.) These needles were in the seed and are not really "new" growth. The next
set of needles will be new, at that point you should consider transplanting
to a well drained soil in a small unglazed ceramic pot, with a drain hole,
not that plastic thing they gave you.
With annual repotting you should have a nice tree in 20 years, more or less.
