I can't stand bermuda grass. I hate it with a passion. It is extremely invasive and difficult to get rid of organically. Especially for someone who is has physical problems. I have a large garden (about 4,000 square feet) and keeping it free of bermuda and a zillion other weeds is an ongoing nightmare. I am sowing cover crops/green manure crops whenever and wherever I can to try to smother the weeds out and improve the soil.
I would love to hear other peoples ideas of how to organically get rid of this menace.
I live in the humid and hot southeast where all my friends and neighbors tell me it's impossible to garden organically, but I'm still trying.
I did try the living with weeds thing and it did not work at all. I had four foot high thorny weeds to try to wade through to find what veggies I could. Not fun getting all scratched up and stung by fire ant hills you can't see through the weeds.
