I was watching a cooking show recently that gave a recipe for banana blossom
salad. The taste was said to not compare to anything else. I was wondering
if anyone on the list has tried them. The blossom was huge, with lots of
cigarette shaped buds inside. The small buds were soaked in vinegar at one
point, as they are bitter fresh.
