I know there's no such verb as bonsai-ing but you get the idea this way. I'm
not into serious bonsai as it takes time & I just want to experiment to see
if some plants can 'look' like they're bonsai.
I was told once that the small leaved coleus can be done that way since the
stems get quite woody. I have 5 small China dolls (Radermachera sinica)
started & I'd like to try one as pseudo-bonsai.
Can anyone give me an idea if I could attempt this in some easy steps without
much effort & how? Or is the idea of doing so preposterous if I don't want to
put real effort into it? If that's so, please say so & I don't mind. I know
if one wanted to graft a number of apple cultivars on one apple tree & wanted
the lazy way to go about it, I'd discourage them so tell me straight, please.
I love the look of a miniature garden or landscape but want to be realistic
about making one.
