banana bloom...cut it?

HI all,
My banana tree has over 100 bananas that will be ready to eat in December.
I'm doing research on the internet because I am a new gardener...I am finding
there are two schools of thought on cutting the bloom after the hands are
formed. Some say that the bloom will extract all the nutrients from the bananas
if I don't cut it off. I need help from the experts. Logically, nature
doesn't cut off the bloom so it doesn't make sense to me.
Karen?
Dev?
Byron?
Anyone!!!
Thanks,

I agree with you though no one does this in nature and I really doubt
that the flowers would extract all the nutrients out of the fruit.
Doesn't the flowers dry up when the fruit starts to form anyway? Or are
these new flowers? I'd love to see a picture of your tree, sounds like
it's really happy to be producing that much fruit.
