Hello Marilyn,
I suppose you know this by now... toadlilies are quite sensitive to
frost. If you got an freeze or hard frost and did not cover them, then they
are over for this year. Even covering them does not always work. I seldom
get seed on many of my rare ones due to freezes and the plants shut down.

Ooops, no, I did not know that...... and we did have a freeze last night,
at least they were saying we might... have not been out to the garden yet.
What would you cover them with?

Hello Marilyn,
I usually keep a few old cardboard boxes around, old blanket or two
ready to go. Last couple of years I have let nature take its course. If it
freezes back, so be it... other things are out there that do not.

hmmm, don't think I have any boxes... but it does not look like we are in
line for a freeze anytime soon, so I should be okay. Good to know, though.
Thanks.
