Only if you have time... the thing has me very curious. I'll take a photo
tomorrow; its raining tonight (yea!). This is a plant shaped nearly as
large as an oakleaf hydrangea with similar shaped leaves. It flowers with a
big white flower similar to an over grown morning glory. It makes a fruit
and quickly too. The fruit (so far) is about 5 cm and has large spines on
it.
Now is this weird or what? It is to me anyway. What fun!
We had an incredibly busy weekend. Instead of narrowing down colleges, Sean
added a few to his possible list. He's driving me nuts! He wants as
challenging a biology program as he can find. He's been advised that marine
biology is very competitive and that he'd better take it seriously if he's
to actually get an advanced degree in it; the money for marine biology is
scarce. I simply don't know how to advise him on this one.

Thanks, Joel! I've never seen anything like it before. The flower looked
like a Datura but I associate climbing vines with Datura.
Well, out it goes... Perhaps I could dry those pods for flower arrangements
though... if I put the vase up on the mantle away from Jill.
You all, its 68*, no humidity and beautiful! I'm so happy to have summer
past us!

As described (and pictured) at the following site, all parts of the plant
are poisonous.

Why would he narrow his field now to marine biology? There is so much to
pick form in the "biology" field. Have him go to http://naturejobs.nature.com/
and see what jobs are out there now. Maybe he'll find something he hadn't
thought of.
