I found some land with sandy loam. Seems like sand to
me, it is white/grey color. This is in an area with
mostly forests, hardwoods and pines. They dug deeply
on this land(to put in deep pond) and the sand goes
way down, does not hit rock. Do you think this type
soil grows well with a little help or is it like
dealing with straight sand?
Do any of you know how to establish a healthy
environment in a new pond? There is no water in it
yet:)
what I have is sandy loam, but it seems maybe not as sandy as yours..
It is very high in organic material, now and very fertile.
