Okay, Cage the tomatillos, The snow peas ar a cool
weather crop so erect some shade for them and water
the bajebbers out of them to lower the soil
tempatures.
Also on the tomatillos you can train them up a pole
as well. Makes for easier picking.

hello to all of you!!!
first i want to thank everyone for their wisdom about the ants... im
taking care of the problem right now and id have to say that ill be
going to the gardening center later today to look for the P stuff to be
mixed with 8 oz of sugar. the corn is doing superb and is growing like
there is no tomorrow.thanks for the lovely advice!
now i do want to know if anyone has grown edamame and purple
tomatillos... should i put them in cages? are they bushy or what? are
both of them vines that will just cover my whole garden or are they
like little shrubs?
also, my snap peas arent doing too well... i think they are being burnt
by the sun... i planted 10 seeds but only 3 emerged... and the one that
sprouted and has about 5 inches of growth is starting to get baked! i
do water the plants regularly at 6pm; and if the day is going to be
super sweltering hot, i do water as well in the morning (around 6:30
am). oh well...
that's about it for now!
thanks everyone! have a great day!
