The EPA will allow manufacturers to incresase the amount of met.... (poisonous to slugs) to 3.5% from its current lower leve. Does that tell you anything?
Dogs, cats, birds and humans aren't likely to eat enough to do damage. The secret to its use is to spread it according to directions -- one pellet every 18 inches or so. And then, don't get down there and eat 'em.
