Hi all, you can try Boric Acid mixed with D.E. or you can try mixing
D.E. with Pyrenthium. I found that a combination of the two works
pretty good. If not you can mix boric acid with a small amount of
syrup and soak some bread in it and then let it dry some then crumble
the bread in small pieces where the ants are at in the garden and
around the house, it will also kill other various bugs. I sometimes
will use bread yeast and scatter it around outside. Both will only be
good for a day or so then you have to start all over. I have a very
bad aphid problem going on right, now so I have had to break out the
big guns, liquid seven and seven dust mixed with D.E. You can use D.E.
just by itself also, but like everything else you have to keep
applying it. If you use a soap mix you can try using a small amount of
alcohol in which you have soaked some hot pepper flakes in it. The two
mixed with soapy water seems to repel and kill various insects on
contact and will keep them off the plants for a couple of days. Well I
hope that this is of some help.
