1. Harry, if your rider reads, go to http://www.longridersguild.com
I found a reprint there of a book I've been looking for, for years.
2. Burnt pot. A couple of weeks ago I put javex in a burnt pot. =
Luckily left it in the sink overnight. The next AM there was a pinhole =
leak where the worst of the burnt was located.
3, Coke will totally dissolve a tooth in a couple of days. Tried this =
once with a baby tooth. End of coke/pepsi/pop in our house. !!!!!! =
Good healthy eating experiment for kids.
4. Pam - or substitute. I have a little sprayer that I fill with olive =
oil and use when you have to use fat or anything for cooking.
So Penny missed it again. Glad things are getting back to normal =
weatherwise.
It is so warm here in Winnipeg that we are having to do the odd bit of =
watering. Mid-november and everyone is still golfing here.
Ginny -almost caught up with email.

Virginia, I had forgotten that neat trick with the
olive oil -- thanks so much!

Virginia is much too formal. Glad to be of help. I don't use pressurized
anything.
Still have campanulas blooming for some reason. One of my chrysanths budded
all over, but never did bloom. Strange strange year.

probably reblooming about now.

None of ours are. I'm waiting for a little cooler weather and then am
going to pull and trash about 20X3 feet of LA iris in common colors plus
another 4X12 area will get severely thinned, same stuff purple and/or
yellow. Those things go wild down here while my rarer reds, lavender,
and bronzes don't spread as readily.
We have three small trees slated to come out in addition to the iris and
then I'm taking out nearly all the butterfly ginger, another invasive
plant here. Then we have to prune the fruit trees, spray the citrus
trees, take out another !@#$% growth of Jerusalem artichokes and then
get rid of the non productive brambles. Lots of stuff to do but Miz Anne
starts Thanksgiving holidays tomorrow afternoon, she'll be off for a
solid nine days counting both weekends and then there's Christmas
holidays coming up about mid-December. If she doesn't cave in I may be
able to get a lot of work out of her in the next month and a half.
