Nancy I'll be watching for the answers. Sorry I can't help. I guess my
first line of defense if I decided to worry about the rust on my trees right
now would be to spray with milk and then a few days later compost tea. But
right now I'm too busy with the water stuff to worry about it. Besides, I'm
not ALLOWED to spray the trees with my hose end sprayer and the stupid NEW
backpack sprayer broke after 9 uses.

Hi everyone,

I planted a new apple tree this year (4 varieties on one rootstock).
It's been really wet here in Eastern Upstate NY.

I see yellow spots all over the leaves, looked on google and see it's
cedar-apple rust. Googling to find organic methods of control hasn't
been too successful so far. Everything indicates fungicides are
necessary.

No cedars in my yard.

I'd be happy to receive advice.

Nancy,

You might want to try spraying the tree with neem oil. It is a fairly
good fungicide.
