Here's the info I received from my friend who feeds her cat the raw =
foods diet:

If your Aussie friend wants to feed chicken wings as a treat, first =
start with the
wing tip: tip of the wing to the joint. The wing is not the most =
nutritional, but
it can be used to introduce cats to feeding raw. When I first gave a =
wing tip to
Toonces he played with it a bit. As you move up the wing and the bones =
are bigger,
some cats won't eat them, or they'll try and their teeth/jaws aren't =
strong enough.
Cornish game hens are a good start.

Aside from chicken wings, the giblets (heart, liver, gizzard and neck) =
are even
better. Heart and liver are rich in nutrients for the cat, the gizzard =
and neck
helps clean the teeth. NEVER feed a cat or dog cooked bones. Toonces =
won't eat
the neck, but I lightly saute the heart, liver and gizzard, cut them =
into cat-bite
size pieces and combine with a tiny bit of squash baby food then chicken =
or turkey
or beef baby food to make a "stew". Sometimes I add a bit of grated =
cheese. He
loves it. The giblets aren't often utilized so this is like a free =
meal.

I can also recommend 2 books, but I'm not sure if they are available in =
Australia
and they are a little dated.

Let me know if you need more info.
