Debbie reminded me of something I read a long time ago and have practiced
ever since.
When you are planting your tender bulbs, place them in those plastic berry
baskets they sell strawberries in, and just bury the whole thing. This way
you don't have to sift through the earth in the fall when it comes time to
dig them up. It's pretty obvious where they are!
