russeted, and shaped like a European pear. I just received catalog for
Raintree Nursery that's offering them. They're online at

Plant breeders are active all over the world, Carol. It could be a new
breed from Norway/Finland/ the Netherlands/Germany/ who knows? My point

Except for the skin color, yes, Margaret. Perhaps it was grown in Denmark and turned red? Hard to know. Shape is correct at least.
