then as sheet composting--where I planted sunflowers. The second year
the birds planted a lot of them. When I pulled out the dead 6' stalks
the following fall, the roots pulled up several thicknesses of
newspapers laid the previous year.
If sunflowers prosper with there roots growing through newspaper, can't
be too bad. Lotsa worms there, too.
