One of Bargyla's amaryllis has 6 leaves now. I attribute this to liquid fertilizer, after one month!
Cut amaryllis stays fresh a bit longer than amaryllis on the bulb. It loses color though. I have one I cut last Saturday, lemon-lime. Now white, but none of the flowers is wilting, and usually one wilts on the same day as the last flower unfolds. So that is one good idea!
This year cut amaryllis flowers have become very popular and I understand why.
