rubbed over my head, tame it down. Margaret L

Nope, I've gotten two so far. As soon as I see them, I delete them. My poor
husband is going crazy at work though. He's the mail admin and a few people
there opened it and its getting BAD. I finally updated my mail program from
the one I was using back in 98. Not bad, and with the proper (free) popup
blocking software, the free sponsored version acts just like the paid version.

there's a 14 lb Maine Coon lump between me and the keyboard draped across
both wrists and giving them a deep purr massage.

unfortunately here, that means for most of the summer!

wait until summer when ya'll have it nice and we're being slow roasted and
watching our plants bake.

Er, un, then again, I'm not getting a reply when I send a query to the
listserv on one account and the other was set nomail.
Consider this to be a test.

I'm here Esther;-) I'm at home today becasue of the snow storm. In it's
infinite wisdom my university is the only school of any sort open in the area
but I'm taking the day off anyway. Two univeristies about 30 miles from here
closed today but we're open! I've alrady gotten 3 suspicious emails that
Ibelieve were carrying the new worm. One from a government agency that I did
not write to, one from a grad student that I have nothing to do with and one
from a staff member who knows very little about computers.

Well, I caused some confusion because of an account that wasn't working
for awhile. I set another to get mail that was working and answered my
own post. The virus backing things up at Comcast no doubt.
At least stuff is getting through, eventually.

I got this one Esther, did you get mine?
I see responses to some that I haven't seen an original to. Wonder what
is
happening.
Whatcha doin' on tv tonight, Esther? Wish I'd get the channel, but I know
probably not.

Hi, Did it. Whew. Who me stage fright???
"Barb and Me", FATV, taped in the elementary school of Fitchburg
Massachusetts so I'm sure you don't get it. Being interviewed about my
business, had to carry a whole half hour. Like beating my head against
a wall, it feels great when it's over. And I don't think I babbled too
much. Even had fun with it, sorta.
Before the hostess of the show came, her staff told me they could have
put up some of my digital photos; she didn't know. So she will have me
back again sometime.

You're right. We don't get that. I certainly hope you taped it or
can get a tape that we can circulate! Me first. I'll send it on to
the next person. Too bad the digital photos didn't get in but it
sounds like there will be another time. Linda in NW Ohio.
Hi Mary,
First off -- Congrats on your new car!! Many happy
travels with it too.
Yesterday our University cancelled classes as well.
It's a plowing thing - hopefully with less cars around
they can plow the lots.
I took a vacation day because I wasn't plowed out at
home until later, and I had to shovel the driveway --
first I shovel it, and then again after the snowplow
goes by and blocks the driveway again.
I used to rush out as soon as it was light to do this,
but now I have my hot oatmeal breakfast, don all my
snow gear and carefully approach the task. And I
do more pushing the snow aside than shoveling it.
Also, I found that with my Toyota front wheel drive,
it will cheerfully go right through about 2-1/2 inches
of snow so I can make tracks in the driveway
before I shovel it. :)) I like this feature.
And now it's almost February - our short and
very cold month here in zone 6.
My second Amaryllis is cheerfully blooming - Apple
Blossom with four lovely flowers, the Poinsettia
is still red, my optimara African violet has put out
a few new blooms, and lo! -- my Christmas cactus has
decided to rebloom! I think it was forced the first
time and only bloomed on one side, now the other
side is going to give me some flowers.
You would never know it was winter if you went by
my southern window. :)
June in wintery old Rhode Island
Something tells me that my front window
which is kind bay shaped, is good for house
plants. I have a cactus (red) that blooms
first in the early fall, again after Christmas and
continues to bloom a few blossoms for months
afterward. It is sitting in that window where
the amaryllis's (amarylii?) are blooming.
Serendipitously, our protocol for heating
the house fits its needs also. Oh...the
front window faces the west with quite a bit
of light coming in from north and south.
