I've been using that slug bait this spring and it seems to have no
effect on my slugs. I put it out in the evenings and moisten the top of
my mulch, but to no avail. The eggshells do seem to be having a positive
effect, but I don't have enough to put around allmy broccoli, so the
slugs are just moving to the unprotected ones.

In fact, you could use the old-fashioned approach and use suspenders and
black seamed stockings and just drive them wild. - JTT

Just a wild thought. I don't know if you have followed the windings of a
recent thread on uses for old pantyhose, but one of the suggestions was
as a cover for brassicas, mainly to keep off caterpillars. Just wondered
if it would also exclude slugs???
