Imitation chia pet -- I am keeping one, they are too cute. I am not sure if
it is a bear or a hedgehog, it is actually a little terra cotta planter pot
from Portugal, I found them at the dollar store last summer, I added a
little potting soil in a baggie and a little bit of wheat grass kitty grass
seed. But I am still giving away 2 of them.

Ummmmm. Yeah. Moms are like that. I'm the mom here but I had the
opposite problem here. I bought some gifts that aren't going to
make it to the intended people. heehee I had to substitute.
We give the main gift, but also a few little stocking stuffers.
I was expecially prone to them as I never buy anything for someone
that I don't like myself.
First casuality: The big triangular-shaped jar of chocolate almonds
meant for my daughter who is very skinny. I just knew she wouldn't
relish them and I discovered that I was chocolate deprived and helped
myself to a few rendering the gift useless and yet perfect for my kitchen
counter. Had to substitute a red velvet photo album.
Second casuality: A darling little jug of extra virgin olive oil
intended for my brother but I rationalized that he prefers cannola oil
and that, too, looks just perfect by my spice rack. It's just too
feminine for him. Had to substitute wool socks.
Third casuality: A long-handled imitation ivory magnifying glass to
look at garden bugs with and it was going to go to my mother but I
decided that she didn't much care for bugs and substituted lace
hankerchiefs instead. I still felt a little guilty, so I added After
Eight dinner mints.
C'mon - fess up. What gift did you buy for someone but kept it
for you. :)))))) I must say I'm enjoying this season.
Best to all,
June in RI (With her new stuff including a pewter fancy little
picture frame with my own picture in it.)
