Please post any answers to this one on the list (not just privately). I've
got the twin to Karen's fern; it is badly in need of replanting as it has
burst open the pot it is in, but is still held together by all the "feet".
This is one of the best houseplants I have. It's in a north window over the
kitchen sink, and all I've ever done for it is drench it once a week and use
a bit of Miracle Gro. It always looks good.

Good morning to you all! I need help with repotting a huge Rabbit's foot
fern. This has been in a hanging basket for years and has totally grown
around the outside of the pot. The plastic holder finally gave way under
the weight of the plant this summer and I need to take it apart and get into
a number of other pots but I am unsure of how to do this and what do I do
with all the little bunny "feet" that are going to be left over from this
major surgery? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem.
My idea is first to put small pots next to the big one and put the rhizomes
in the small pots and let them root. Then sever them from the main pot.
Alternatively, my plan is to cut up the plastic pot into small pieces and
remove it that way, then repot in a larger container rhizomes and all.
