I commiserate with Miz Anne. I had to wait ten years in our marriage to
get a car. (picture me carting kids on bus -- pitiful bus system here,
btw -- or walking for that length of time) When I finally got my
own a couple of years ago, I felt like I was handed a "get out of jail
free card". Good thing I didn't know how much easier it was to have the
car at the time. Never drove it bare, Margaret, but the satisfaction of
the freedom sure felt like it. :-D

Miz Anne prefers to drive the 10-year old Dodge sedan. Says she doesn't have to
worry about spilling paint or anything on the seats or getting parking lot
scratches. Miz Anne was 25 before she decided to learn to drive. Had to force
her into it as her mom has never driven and is now 92 years old. Difference was
that when we were young I worked shift work and wasn't always around to haul her
places. She adapted to driving quickly and now drives like a maniac. None of us
will ride with her when she's driving, scares the bejeebers out of me and she's
never had a wreck and only one ticket. Go figure.

I recently bought a Regal bread machine to replace my old West Bend. I really
like the thing and it works well and was less than 60 bux US.
