Low Salt......is a type of salt, containing only one third sodium, for
people who have been medically advised to reduce their salt intake, perhaps
as part of their treatment for hypertension, but who find it very difficult
to give up their use of salt on savouries. I don't know if the medical
fraternity totally approve of this 'Lo-Salt', but , I understand that, when
some people find it very difficult to cut out salt from their diet, they use
this product. It gives the taste of salt, but not the disadvantages
attached to use of pure sodium. Of course, this may only be a good
marketing ploy, to increase the sales of 'Lo-Salt', but I know a lot of
people use in under the above circumstances. It is marketed as a reduced
sodium salt alternative. I used the old fashioned common or garden table
salt to rid myself of the ants, because that was all I had in the house at
the time. It is coarser than the 'Lo-Salt', and the sodium content is
higher. I would have used the even coarser rock salt, but I did'nt have it
to hand, and I wanted to get rid of the ants as quickly as possible. I hope
this answers your query, Pat. Regards, Brid.
