I was working in my clay the other night and after
finding a millipeede behind one pile of clay and a
wolf spider (wasn't real pleased) I opened a loosley
wraped bag of clay that I have had setting for oh
about a month or two.. AND low and behold MUSHROOMS!!
Any URL ideas on where I can identify these
mushrooms???

Give a guy a new car, and he's loaded for bear. Or bare. Margaret L

Why worry about ID, feed them to the millipede and the wolf spider and see if it
kills them.

Hey, no one gave me a new car, Miz Anne had to work hard for the money for that
thing. If she's really, really good this week, I may let her drive it.

You can do what I do to see if a mushroom is safe to eat.
I harvest a lot of them, then take some and invite friends
over for dinner. I give them the mushrooms and if they live,
well I know the mushrooms are good and I can eat them.

Alas, one of the problems of growing older is that your
friends become fewer and fewer. Anyone in the
Northeast on the gardening list want to come over to dinner?
I make a great Barley and Mushroom soup that people just
die over.
