Natalie,
Don't know much about reblooming bromeliads, but I think it takes a while.
I keep my cactus in a south-facing window that doesn't get much if any
light after dark, water rarely, feed even more rarely, and it blooms every
spring.
The room it is in doesn't get above 64 during the day, not counting the
heat from the sun and goes down to 55 at night, but since it's right near
the glass, the cactus microclimate is probably much much cooler at night.
Hope this helps

My garden must be n-dimensional if it's out here in cyberspace.
You whooo! Alan,
I just wanted to let you know that those little tintsey
baby cactus I picked up at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum are
blooming! I have a nice hot pink flower on the barrel
cactus & an interesting stem poking out of the bintsy polka
dotted Aloe with a little bloomie thing on it. I can't
wait to see what the 'Living Rock' produces. It seems to be
opening.........right in the
middle.............amazing......
stay tuned..............

Kewl....you know, I should have gave you a little baby off my Easter
Lily cactus. It has wonderful white blooms on it. It only blooms at
night, but generally can be seen in the morning if you get up before 10
AM or so ;) Maybe on you next trip down.
