Yesterday I bought an amaryllis - I do this almost every year. It was in full vigor, four flowers. New flower stem just appearing.
Got it home on the bike, into the livingroom. It tilted somewhat so I put it into a pot hider.
Next morning the four flowers were resting on the coffee table. It was 24C when I fell asleep and much too warm for the flower stem.
Now it is in my unheated livingroom leaning against a monstera.
