Toads eat slugs I think, but I don't know about frogs. And ducks might be a
good solution. I've heard more complaints about chickens going after
seedlings than ducks. Of course I've never owned either so maybe someone
who has will have a better opinion.

Norway is invaded from Spain by a new bad slug we call Iberia slug or "
the brown slug" - and it is really causing lots of trouble here where we
can find it because it is SO aggressive ( reproduce 1500 eggs a
summer) and the normal slug eaters do not eat it because that slime it put
out is something and taste or too much or how it is . It also seem to be
able to cross with our normal black forest slug - and the hybrid has taken
the "best" of both and becomes even more aggressive. This is a kind of
night mare for plant growers, especially Hosta growers of course!
This Iberia slug is o problem i dry countries where is comes from ( plant
import) but coming up here to perfect wet climate it really is in slug
paradise! I am afraid of buying plant and I never plant out before
searching well after slugs in the pot! Ducks will eat them , but I think
ducks the garden will eat plants as well!? Hedgehogs seem to not want to
eat the Iberia slugs ..
Do you have this slug over in America - where you have wet coastal climate
like me and will snakes keep down the population - is that snake poisonous?
Do frogs eat slugs? Or what do they eat?
