I'm not saying it was ,in this case, but,
food poisoning doesn't get enough press.

It's all too easy to pet the cat, pet the dog, empty the trash, pull the
weeds, touch the keyboard/mouse, touch whateve,blah^3 (FORGET TO WASH)-and
then eat something or touch your eyes, nose or mouth.

It's also been known for people to reverse their peristalsis after
gorging. Once a friend of mine wolfed down a steak, salad and potato- only
to fill the toilet bowl 5 minutes later.
By the time I was noticed how fast the the Porterhouse steak (and
everything else)was disappearing on his plate-
he was running to the bathroom.

down
for a while. Within half an hour or so I had the first episode of "going at
both ends".

I wonder if they called such receptacles vomitoria...in view of the fact =
that entrances/exits to theatres, arenas, etc., were designated =
vomitoria. I don't think we need to know this, since all of the old =
Romans are gone, but I think it's interesting. Margaret L

This reminds me of the tales of Roman feasts at some periods in their
history where they used to deliberately make themselves sick (in =
designated
vomitoria) in order to be able to gorge some more. An incredibly =
repulsive
notion I think from all points of view.

Milk/Kefir

Probably the least dangerous of these is to touch weeds, especially if you
don't keep pets who might have fouled the area
