It was cloudy when I awoke this morning (6am, to what I'm certain was a =
tiny
earthquake) and it's been getting darker as the day progresses. =
Forecast
for rain over the next 2-3 days moves from 30% today to maybe 60% chance =
on
Friday. Water from the dehumidifier, the salad spinner, and from the =
tap
when waiting for the hot water are all that's keeping alive the certain
shrubs that I favor and that aren't as well established. The rest are
either tolerating the drought reasonably well, or drying up and dropping
their leaves.

Yes, but only at specialty orchards. About an hour from here is Vintage
Virginia Orchard where, last year, we attended an apple tasting of =
heirloom
varieties and bought some afterwards. Hope to do it again this year.

About your grapes: an acquaintance of mine who has Muscadines says =
watering
the grapes makes them taste less sweet.
