I was sitting on the screened porch a few minutes ago, looking at some
English ivy that had begun creeping up the screen, and thinking, idly, =
that
I really should remove it, when I realized that the vine looked thicker =
and
blacker than normal. As well it should, given that there was a young, =
black
snake draped over the vine.
A broom to gently nudge it into a deep, covered bucket was all it took =
to
remove it and transport it to the south woods. Where it hope it finds =
all
the prey it needs and leaves us alone.
