Have you had any experience with nematodes on slugs? I understand there's a
particular species that controls them well. Unfortunately, it sounds like
it's only available in the UK and isn't commercially available in North
America.

Yes, they work brilliantly in our damp warm soil. Problem is that its
hard to get a local supplier to order them from the UK and the UK
suppliers don't like sending them to Ireland because sometimes they
die en route and the customers get annoyed when nothing happens.

Does Eric Acosta know a supplier?

We had a long cold winter this year and spring slug numbers are down
so I'm hoping that the good old torch and scissors method along with
plenty of grit around susceptible plants will do the trick
