Thanks Pat, my husband drinks bud and always leaves half full bottles so I have about 5 bottles sitting outside waiting to be used, but if I get low, this recipe will be great. I have added it to my insect control file. Thanks, Sue

This, from my saved messages. Might be cheaper than even Bud Lite.

Thanks Pat, this does seem worth a try.

I've always used the flour, yeast and water trick. But since we decided to
keep that stray(Beau) from last year, I haven't tried the traps because I
don't want to encourage him into the vegetable beds. So far he's stayed
completely out of them and I'd like to keep it that way. He's a very well
behaved dog.... very afraid of everything (he must have been quite
abused).... very big..... but obedient, quiet and gentle. Nothing like the
two Siberians who have their own yard well away from my garden beds.
Maybe this spring I'll try the traps with a paste of hot chile on the
outside to discourage Beau.

Oh, I noticed a possum taking an interest in the slug trap I had in the wide
row garden just outside my fence. Again, I'm not sure if I want to
encourage possums, rats, mice... has anyone else had this problem?

because i once heard that they like lager, i got some lager yeast,
where I get my wine yeast and always intended to do as Pat said, but
using the beer yeast, I never got around to it.

I think the vital ingredient is probably the yeast. I really might try this
for the snails among my clump plants where they do a good deal of horrid
damage.
