Joel and Laura,

My experience about 8 years ago with Bermuda and landscape fabric was that the bermuda grew very nicely right thhrough the fabric. It was the only stand of bermuda grass in my yard in AL that was weed free. It was just store bought stuff, not any professional stuff. Don't know if they've changed the way they make the stuff now.

Deborah

Hello Laura,

Have you tried using landscape fabric to control bermuda grass ?

Landscape fabric is a geotextile that will last for many years if covered
with mulch. It can also be used without mulch but will not last as long.

Do I remember someone saying years ago that *clear* plastic kind of
boiled scutch to death if it was put down directly on the soil?

For the moment, we've put down loads of black plastic, weighted with soil.

Only in a hot sunny climate - not in ours

Well done - you must have had a busy time after I left.
