Hi Barb,
This cacti (unlabeled and $2.99) is not the Christmas cacti and I
have yet to haul out my book and identify it. I will as soon as I get
the chance. It's slender and tall with three red flowers on top.
The little pointsettia is red adding a bit of color to the already
crowded office ledge. Walmarts had some nicer offerings in the cacti
and I thought they were reasonable too, but I just grabbed the one
with the little red flowers.
The Pine Tree Catalog has arrived too. Haven't had a chance to go over
that either and I want to now that I might not get the Burpee seeds.
I'll see.

Yesterday is was around 70F here at noon for some reason. ;)
We're not complaining a bit. They haven't turned on the heat for
a few days and the office is a bit damp, but the plants love it. New
growth and extra green.

The Christmas cacti at home have given me the treat of all blooming
at once - I have white tinged with orchid, peach, pink and red.
Each flower is so lovely.

Yep, here comes the holiday season.

Best,
June

Ah. You got caught by the stickered variety. ;-) Sounds like fun.

You got your Pinetree catalog already?? Waaah! Oh well, I usually get
those a day or so after the New England people get to start reading
theirs...so the mail isn't that far out of wack...yet.

We've had thunderstorms cruise through for the last couple of evenings. It
seems strange -- we don't usually need to disconnect phone lines during
November. Warm weather here, too...so far, anyway. The men might get yet
another chance to really cut the grass and do more than just push fallen
leaves around.

So far I have received only the Thompson and Morgan catalogue. Seems like I
had Johnny's by this time last year.

It
Here we sit up here in the Mid-Hudson Valley - still - with no rain to speak
of. :-(

My Christmas Cacti which blooms off and on throughout the year, was
especially beautiful this year. The biggest amount of blooms on this plant
comes about this time. Usually it goes outside for the summer but it didn't
get there this year. I hope that it has not overbloomed and burned itself
out? Seems like that happens to plants every now and then. I guess plants
die of old age just like people do?

On that happy note, I will get back to trying to reach the Norton anti-virus
folk. Number stays busy. I need to resubscribe.
