the "vendor")

I would have gone through it inch by inch and removed the concrete and
tossed it in the garbage bin.
Understood, but thats follks that work w/ the stufff, were talking about
using it in the compost pile/garden( you can wear gloves.) Couldn't see it
being a problem after it's diluted a bit w/ compost/ soil. Asthetically not
many folks want to put rocks in their garden.... pebbles might be another
story. If the concrete is broken up to a small enuf size, I wouldnt see a
problem if it were spread out over a large enuf area.large enuf area is
key!!!!!!!!!!

who has shocked a citrus tree severely by rinsing fresh concrete into the

Bill, I think most people get either dry hands or itching hands or exsema if they use concrete too much. It has something to do with the mixture. All I know is that they use chalk (limestone) from my area, send it to Jutland and the concrete is made their. The limestone is burned here to make it suitable.

So while digging in your garden you pull up chunks of limestone from yor
subsoil?
We should all be so lucky!.... From your posts, seems like the plants like
it!

Bill, it is UGLY!!!!I have so far spent 5-6 years picking concrete pieces
out of my garden soil! I leave the limestone and remove concrete, nails,
glass, pottery, etc. Concrete is by far the ugliest!

It seems to be because concrete tends to be quite alkaline, while our
skin is happiest when slightly acid.

Yes, all this is from an outhouse which was pulled down in the late seventies. The outhouse was built of limestone like the house itself. Same material as the underground!
