my moldy amaryllis

After a week in my warm bathroom the soil fungus had fallen somewhat but was not dying, so I scraped it off.

Found one bulblet and another one has appeared since!

The amaryllis was tilting, so I put the higher side towards the sun and now it is fine.

The soil was NOT compost, but spaghnum! So now I know that...

All the others were compost and they have no mold.

Did you try the cinnamon biz?

No, but it was only on the top of the spaghnum, so it was easy to scrape off. And now two bulblets came to life, getting light.

Today I took another one up to give it some attention: the very smallest bulblet from
Bargyla's small amaryllis. I think just giving it attention is what does the trick, myself, but I am putting it in the windowsill when the sun comes around to the southwest, and then back on the floor when the sun sets (too hot with the radiator to stay in the window too long). And then I look at it and urge it to grow up and be strong and get gorgeous flowers, you know. I think that does the trick...
