The one good thing about Lethbridge is there are a lot of green spaces here. Lots of wilderness parks - kept in their natural state along the river valley. Lots of green parks in the city, some as small as a simple lot, but it all helps. The area where I live has older established trees, but to be fair, it is hard to get trees to establish here with the wind. I consider myself lucky that I live on the outskirts of town - only 2 blocks from farmer's fields - and the research centre is just out past me. So every day, I enjoy a comparatively rural drive to work. The road going out to the research centre is lined with old elms - to the point where they drape over the road - giving you the feeling you're driving through a green tunnel in the summertime. And boy does that archway look gorgeous with hoar frost on it!

I think there are a lot of small towns that "get it". Lethbridge is close. Room for improvement, but much better than other places I've seen.
