Steve I loved your snake story.
Over the weekend of the 4th, my 5 year old was stung by a bee while in
the garage, so a few days ago she came screaming out of the garage and I
thought oh-oh here we go again. Well she screamed there was a snake in
the garage, so I informed her it was ok and perhaps instead of screaming
at it, we might put some water down because it was awfully hot out. So
we dug out an old plastic saucer thingie and filled it up and set it out
in the garage for the poor snake, well, the snake certainly couldn't
take a drink because it was eating a toad!! Now I was really annoyed,
but decided that the snake had to live too, so we didn't try to rescue
the toad (I'm sure some cowardice played a part inte that decision) But
we did go out every few minutes to see how far the snake had gotten with
the toad. Now my 5 yearold tells me she loves snakes. But she's a
little nervous of the garage, so far this year we've had a nest of
wrens, a woddpecker, the bees, a snake and a bunch of flies recently in
the garage. It's a real menagerie.
