BTW: As for your having been told that the Pawlonias won't bloom "this

north" -- they bloom here (I am North of you but in zone 6b) and in
Central
Park, (zone 6) in NYC - Pawlonias bloom in both places. You are inland,
so
perhaps zone 5?
