Hi folks,

A friend gave me an asplenium antiquum when my dad died. I don't
know wnything about this, except that it appears to be a fern of
some sort. Can one of you tell me something about it, and it's
hardiness?

Thanks,
Harry

Perry's perennial pages offers general culture information for A.
nidus...bright to moderate light, cool to average temps., humid, and well
watered, well drained.

This is just a neat page about ferns, with habitat information for fern=
s
native to Georgia, USA.
They suggest "One-third potting soil, one-third peat moss, one-third sa=
nd,
gravel and charcoal (in equal parts)" as a good potting mix for A. nidus.

Barb, for some reason I'm getting "fern=s" then next line "native to

Yes, you are. I cut and pasted the section in quotes, quoting from:
http://www.ces.uga.edu/pubcd/B737-w.htm.

That webpage is set up in a different character set, not ascii, and that
difference pushed my message from plain text into quoted-printable mode.
Sorry.
