I have never had a problem giving our cat a pill. He has been on
phenobarbitol for 6 years after terrible seizures. He plays games in the way of try to
catch me but when cought he practically opens his mouth and says throw it in.
He never trys to run at other times. He is a lap cat. We figured out in the
l8 years we have had him and his half brother we have used 10 tons of cat
litter. wow. Next cats will be taught to use the toilet.
Garden related. I picked up the Norfolk Island Pine yesterday. It is not 5
feet but 6. I bent the top piece but it does not look broken. I did put a
support stick on it. When I came home with the tree I found a friend had come
and left a Miltoniopsis orchid on my deck. I had tried to buy one on our March
trip to Florida and the one I wanted was not for sale. The orchid greenhouse
was boarding orchids and the only ones for sale were phalanopsis which you
can get anywhere. The new plant has 10 flowers open and over a dozen buds. It
is lovely. Flowers remind me of pansy faces.

After years of rescuing cats and dogs I've found the best way to give
animals pills is

If solid pill crush with a rolling pin or something
or if capsule open capsule up

Then take a small amount of food (cat or dog) maybe a small teaspoon and mix
the powdered pill in with it. Make sure no other animals are around and
leave the room where you placed animal and food.

Money will buy a pretty good dog, but it won't buy the wag of his tail.

Hi Anne. I have one cat that gives me problems with pills. I am usually very
good at getting them in, but this guy knows and catching him is the worst
part. I usually lay out the comb brush and small cloth then offer a thorough
brushing and a face washing immediately afterward to sweeten his disposition
after the pill episode. Last time he shocked me. He sat, took his pill,
flopped over and then shoved his head into my hand and waited for the good
stuff. They do go through Cat litter don't they. I have tried these guys
with yesterdays news but no go. They want the broken clay stuff. They reside
inside and so far the land fill accepts it.
What colour is you new Milty? I have one opening now that is still quite
small, and it is a deep red with a white waterfall. It does seem to have a
strange scent. Gorgeous I will probably get it added to my web site sometime
tonight.
I just love that pansy look. I have one which is white with yellow mask,
and it looks like little girls whirling about. that had 15 blooms and is
still a slip so I expect in a couple years it will be spectacular!

The orchid is medium lavander with a deep purple center with white tracings.
No odor of any kind.
