silly me!!!!! here i have been posting that my hyacinth bean vines from
seed, don't look like the one i bought a month ago, which was about 3
inches tall. well...while walking around my yard yesterday, my hyacinth
bean vines have HUGE white trumpet flowers on them...they are
MOONFLOWERS!!!!!! i planted both hyancinth bean and moonflower seeds,
inside in early spring and transplanted them outside. apparently, only
the moonflower vines survived and not ever having been successful with
either vine from seed in the past, i didn't know the difference until it
flowered...DUH...i suppose i should check out "vines 101" somewhere!!!

That has happened before. Now You know and next year you will be successful
with both right? :?))

LOL, Deidre...happens to all of us at one time or another:-) Next
time you try the hyacinth beans, just wait until first of May and
plant them outdoors where you want them to grow...soil and air temps.
need to have gotten warm, so if it's cool, damp spring, you need to
wait until they do warm up.....about the same time you'd put out
tomato plants. Keep the soil moist and they should sprout in a week
or two.
