thank you , now I know which apple it was i had last week it was crisp and
sweet - Braeburn, from New Zealand! delicious.

Braeburns are great. The problem up here at least is the cost of these
good varieties is starting to get out of hand. Fuji's in one store a
while back were close to $2/lb!!!

Don't know what happened there but I was going to add a ditto. Prices here
are on sale 1.99 a lb. Quite often they are up to 2.49. We treat them as
delicacies. I think I am going to haul some rhubarb and make a custard pie
for supper. It is still cold enough to warrant wearing a winter jacket but
it isn't raining yet.
