brugmansias

I am considering putting in a brugmansia, those
wonderful shrubs with huge hanging trumpet shaped
flowers. I would like if possible to plants something
other than the standard white or yellow, but I hear
that the fancy hybrids have more problems with pests,
etc. Does anyone know of any other varieties that are
reasonably tough, and sources to buy them?

Thanks,

I have a spectacular double purple one though the flowers tend to point
upwards rather than hanging down which shows me its white interior. It
hasn't had any more problems than the white and amber ones I have already
have. Brugmansias are not hardy here - even in the tunnel they get killed
down to the ground each year though they come back again - but I usually
overwinter them in the conservatory and in very poor summers (which this
looks like being yet again) I don't take them out at all. With this regime
the only problem I get is greenfly and I persuade my menfolk to lug them
outside and use the water jet method if there aren't enough hoverflies and
lacewings indoors. So far the purple one seems to do just as well as the
others in this regime
