No rain for us, at least for a week or two at least. We are lucky because about 1/2 hour up in the foothills is an area called Apple Hill. I was up there two weeks ago-also went to a nursery up there. There are about 30 or more apple farms. I was also able to buy wonderful peaches (Oh Henry) and nectarines, as well as apples and an apple pie ( huge - the center standing about 9" high ), and of course apple juice. They have maps so you can travel around the area from farm to farm. Some have mazes, farm animals and other fun things for kids too. This is also an area where there are lots of tree farms - where you cut your own at Christmas time. Just below this area in the foothills is where I would like to buy property. We aren't looking right now. But a few years ago we did and I found something I wanted, but my husband ( having been in the building/development profession since college ) said no way were we going to pay that price for 18 acres, a spring fed pond, oa!

and pine trees. Oh, well, I sure did dream. It sold soon after I fell in love with it. It was at 2600 ft. which means a very very light dusting of snow that shouldn't stick. Wonder if we will ever make it to the hills the way property values have increased so much since then. Sue

Yes, but only at specialty orchards. About an hour from here is Vintage
